第二十五天:我最好的物理特征 Day 25: Best Physical Features

DSC_0174

Yes, I claimed modesty as a personality trait I am proud of, specifying only possessing low levels. After more than a year of exercising regularly, now doing so once a week with a personal trainer, I notice the lean, mean muscle machine I have become. I work too hard to be modest about the fact that I have lovely assets, and yes I consider my Gluteus Maximus among them (I so wanted to use wordplay but refrained from the three letter word, sort of 😊).

Here are the other physical features I deem worth mentioning:

  • eyebrows and their arch
  • face, because I like how profile pictures display a symmetricalness to it
  • cheekbones
  • eye color
  • protruding collarbones
  • elongated, slim fingers
  • since embracing my inner gym rat, my lower back (no more flabby love handles!!)
  • ZJ said my feet 😔
  • no makeup, au natural Marissa
  • Even before my years in Xi’an, I never went to great lengths to use fake tanner, tanning lotion, or get a spray tan. The only time I naturally tanned was on a family trip in summer to Maine, of all places! Too much exposure to the sun without sunscreen allows painful reddish hues to surface. This physical feature of mine I like has nothing to do with ZJ, as some readers might associate pasty white skin with him. Yes, in China, beauty standards differ, and women, and men, covet ivory-colored skin.
