我怕什么呢?What Am I Afraid Of?

Failure. Spiders. Nasty people aka haters. Complacency, as in getting too comfortable with my current life. Deadlines. I work very well under pressure but I am always a nervous wreck by self-imposed ones or otherwise. Completing to-do lists. I love writing them, but can not say the same for ticking off those boxes or crossing off said tasks. Moving backwards. I racked up a few personality traits I attribute to ZJ, living, traveling, and teaching in China, specifically Xi’an, and I do not want living in the States to undo all of the lovely additions. Losing my Chinese language skills. As late as middle school, the dark. Adulting. Writing, or putting myself out there.

I am afraid of spiders, too, but somehow I’m always the one to get roped into killing them.

I had the same fears about losing what I’d learned in Hong Kong. But it doesn’t have to be either or. Lucky for both of us that we live near major cities so there are lots of opportunities to stay in touch with your Chinese interests.

Same here, as I have not convinced ZJ to harm spiders on my behalf.

Yes, it is nice living so near to cities with Chinese interests, and even better ZJ never minds being entertained by my abysmal Mandarin and cooking for me 🙂
