Apologies for the months of silence, and a post that does not delve into the personal musings of repatriating, Xi’an or Chinese culture, yet does draw attention to a publication embracing the AMWF tag this blog is rooted on.
Fused Society is a publication celebrating cross-cultural relationships, the increased connections occurring in a heterogeneous society, and they need your support!
They are raising funds for printing the first edition on GoFundMe.com, and even the smallest reward level of $10 helps them with shipping costs to mail to contributors.
Created by Eva Cohen and Mai Huynh, the publication “showcases essays, creative writing and art about the fusion of different cultures, groups, and people,” and welcomes submissions.
Yours truly will contribute to Fused Society’s second edition, focusing on cross-cultural or interracial relationships. Interested in writing, drawing, or submitting on said topic? Check out the submission page.
Jocelyn at Speaking of China has a good write-up of the content covered in the first edition as well as more details about Fused Society’s GoFundMe campaign.
I will be back with more content, updates, and an overhaul (hoping I can swing a .com to .org) of this blog. Stay tuned!
I spread the word through facebook. This is great. 🙂
I can’t wait to read your upcoming posts. 🙂
Speaking of blog urls, I changed mine. It used to be Jewknew.com but I had to change it due to personal reasons. Now my blog url is SincerelyShalom.com 🙂
Thanks, Eileen. Good to know about the URL change. I’m working on moving over to .org
Thanks for the link to my site! Have you submitted something to them yet? I hope so — your stories would be great in Fused Society!
No problem 🙂 and yes I’ve already submitted to Fused Society
